A mechanical breakdown or an accident can be a traumatic experience often leaving a motorist stranded in the middle of nowhere.
Here at Auto Services we work on behalf of the majority of the breakdown clubs as well as members of the public and we can attend with one of our fleet of specialised breakdown vehicles and in many cases carry out emergency minor repairs at the roadside. In more serious cases we can recover the vehicle back to our workshop for repairs or convey it to a garage of your choice, often at the other end of the country.
We operate 8 recovery vehicles in total and can deal with anything from a Mini to a Ferrari to a lorry or bus. Three of our trucks have crew cabs and can carry up to 6 passengers as well as the casualty vehicle to the required destination.
A recent addition to our fleet is a low loader trailer with travelling axles which allows casualty lorries or buses to be winched aboard and removed with the minimum of fuss and delay.
Following a breakdown a stranded motorist expressed her thanks via the AA for service above and beyond the call of duty from our recovery technician Mark Buchanan. As a result the AA awarded Mark a Commendation Certificate of Outstanding Work which he is seen being given by Transport Manager George Fergus. George said “It really gives the guys a boost to know their efforts have been appreciated”.
